CNC Controller – Kofex CNC

Don’t get your laptop dirty and control your milling machine with this beautiful and ingenious controller. It’s all done with a board around a 3-axis milling machine. Load your finished CNC program or create it directly on the controller. The robust metal housing is insensitive to dirt and the integrated emergency stop switch is practical in operation. You don’t mess up your laptop with chips, coolant or other dirt.
The control can drive up to four stepper motors and can be used for milling machines (Proxxon MF70/CNC-ready, the manual MF70 with CNC kit, FF500) or other machines with stepper motors (3D printers, cutting machines, engraving machines, …).
The control works without additional components, just connect the motor cable and the thing runs.
The heart is a Raspberry Pi together with the great LCD display. Here you get a good desktop all-in-one PC. Many open source programs are available for the system. You can use it to surf the Internet, run word processing or graphics programs. Basic programs for simple CAD tasks (LibreCAD) and CAM (bCNC) are preinstalled
An Arduino system with GRBL controls the stepper motors. A separate protective circuit was developed for the Arduino system to further increase its robustness and reliability.
The control is robust and suitable for workshop use.
The MF70 spindle can also be connected so that it stops when the emergency stop is pressed.
A socket for the probe cables is also integrated.
